I really wish I was great at singing. I love music. It relaxes me. Listening to music is my favorite pastime. I love to listen to gospel, R&B and jazz. I especially love old school music. When songs were written with substance. I am very selective about the type of music I listen to because I am very selective about what I allow into my ears, into my soul. If it’s not uplifting it’s not for me.

I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s in New York so I love music from that era particularly. I remember when rap music was really taking off. It was fun and always a party! I can’t really listen to today’s rap music. Half the time I don’t know what they are talking about and the rest of the time it’s pretty degrading to me.

I just love music. I like to make up silly songs or sing what I have to say to my family. They look at me like I’m crazy but I know they think it’s cute – it may not sound very good but cute nonetheless. I used to always say I guess it’s good that I can’t sing because I would be singing everything I have to say to everyone – something that would probably drive people crazy!

God has granted each of us our portion and I have just enough to make a joyful noise! La, la, la, la, laaa!
